Cold water 500 ml

Potassium Bromide 10 gr

Mercuric Chloride 10 gr

Add water to make 1.0 L


WARNING MERCURIC CHLORIDE is a dangerous Poison !! This formula is only listed here to be exhaustive. This intensifier is not used anymore. Less dangerous alternatives exist.

Use full strength. Negatives must be very thoroughly washed. Totally bleach the negatives in above solution and then wash in water adding a few drops of hydrochloric acid.

Redevelop bleached negatives in any standard developer. Surface crust, which forms during storage of the bleaching solution, does not affect the bleach but should be removed before using the solution.
